Launched in 2001, the Dot NAME extension is the sole TLD intended for personal web pages only. These domains can consist of personal or fictional names, nicknames and/or other titles people are popular by. At the beginning, solely 3rd-level registrations were allowed, so if you wished to buy john.doe.name, you would have to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was liberalized and 2nd-level registrations were also allowed. Already purchased 3rd-level domain names remained running.

Through our company, you can get your dot NAME domain for a time interval between 1 and 10 years. You will be able to edit the WHOIS contact information, to park your domain, to create Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an already registered domain to our firm if you get its EPP transfer code from the present domain provider and we will renew it once the transfer has been completed. There are no special requirements on who can obtain a dot NAME domain name, but in order to keep the idea behind its establishment alive, the .NAME Registry may check who the owner is and if there is no relation between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration might be challenged.

The dot NAME universal top-level extension is one of the extensions that support internationalized domains, so we can also register a domain in any language at no extra cost.
